At the New Life Church in Liviv (Ukraine), Door of Hope was able to support the Pastor there when he held an open day for orphans, disadvantaged children and children from Roma backgrounds. Even in Liviv, sirens often sound and explosions happen, so it was a special day given to these children. It's an incredibly difficult financial time for many families in Ukraine, many parents with no money at all. So offering these kids "Bags of Education" full of school stationery to help with their school work was a moment of pure joy. 🇺🇦 Emergency Food Aid – Ukraine Our team has recently been in Zaporizhzhia, delivering emergency food parcels to some of the most vulnerable people affected by the ongoing war. The situation is extremely difficult. Attacks on food warehouses and large stores have seriously affected supplies, with many people struggling to find even the basics. Thanks to the wonderful support we receive, 70 emergency food parcels were distributed, particularly to elderly people aged 80 and over, people with disabilities, and large families with children. For those receiving them, these parcels provide more than food — they are a reminder that they have not been forgotten. ❤️ 🙏 Thank you to everyones prayers and support for the people of Ukraine. 🇺🇦 #churches #christianfaith #vulnerablepeople #elderly #ukrainewar #socialimpact #charity #makeadifference

In Bulgaria, our tracksuits and school materials arrived for nearly 20 children, boys and girls. The children were so excited to receive these and like most children, will probably live in them. These will be worn on days of lessons and games outside, along with the school materials that help support the centre in this marginalised community. Joy and smiles all round as Door of Hope continues it's educational support for this wonderful community. Dasha has 3 children but unfortunately, her husband left her, leaving Dasha to raise them on her own. Dasha and her children were living in a very poor area where military operations were taking place, it was very dangerous and Dasha and her children had to be moved. Again, that too was unsafe and Dasha unfortunately become unwell. Door of Hope met Dasha in the hospital where she explained her story, through our project leader we were able to get Dasha and her family into safe housing for evacuees. Recently, we met up with Dasha and her children and we gave the children ‘Bags of Education’ to help them with their school education. Dasha also now has a paid job, assisting and relocating the elderly. Our prayers continue over this family and many more in this situation in Ukraine. We received a lovely visit this afternoon from Liz and Mary from the Mother's Union in Walberton, West Sussex. They dropped off nearly 40 bags which is fantastic. These will be packed soon as we lead up to our packing day coming soon. We are thrilled this year with the amount of bags being returned to us and knowing that so many kids will benefit this Winter. Thank you to all involved.
